Welcome to my Common Cents blog at moneyinmoneyout. My name is Sarah and I am from Ontario, Canada.  I am 25 and completed school September 2010.  This blog was started in November 2010. I started this blog for a few reasons. First, I wanted a way to keep myself accountable for my finances and actions. Second, I had a hard time finding solid advice geared towards my situation. Blogs that I found were written by people who had been able to get out of debt or were incompletely different situations than I am. I currently have more debt them income, 99% of which is student debt.


My situation: 
1) more (student) debt than income

2) minimal financial background

3) big dreams

I started this blog to track my ability to get ride of the first item, build on the second item and realize the third.

By September of 2011 (one year from leaving school) I had reduced by debt by $14,829.56. I still have a long way to go but I have made great progress!
